VFS STEM Program aims to educate teachers and students on how to incorporate rotorcraft and vertical flight technology knowledge into their STEM learning, and to demonstrate through rotorcraft examples that mathematics, engineering and science play an important role in designing, creating and improving vertical lift technology.

 

These tools and resources will assist educators and students to become interested and excited about vertical flight technology.

What is VTOL?

Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft can hover, take off, and land vertically - not an easy feat! Only helicopters, cyclocopters, tiltrotors, and special types of fixed-wing aircraft can do this.
