The Pennyslvania State University Chapter of the Vertical Flight Society held their fourth Annual Rotor Day, a STEM outreach event to invite local K-12 students to visit the aerospace engineering department and experience the magic of engineering and aviation first-hand. These activities include hands-on demonstrations and interactions with a small scale wind tunnel, flight simulator, K-MAX gears, gyroscopic stability, RC helicopter lessons, high-speed camera, a large RC helicopter exhibit, a QH-50 hub, a paper helicopter craft, a LEGO building station; and facility tours (AERTS lab and the Hammond Wind Tunnel).
