The Arizona Chapter of the Vertical Flight Society helped promote its STEM initiative at the Falcon Field Mesa Heliponents Aviation Fascination Night on November 20, 2019.

Over 400 visitors toured the numerous display booths, rotor and fixed wing aircraft parked on the ramp, and listened to a live band and enjoyed great food.

The VFS STEM booth was constantly busy from start to close of the event.  While the children enjoyed learning and making the rubberband-powered helicopter, the parents asked thoughtful questions about vertical flight and the different types of aircraft beyond helicopters.

Arizona Chapter Executive Board members Scott Swinsick, Christa Luna and Ron Alto, pictured from left to right, supported this wonderful event.
