On Saturday, February 8th, 2020, the Arizona Chapter of the Vertical Flight Society helped promote its STEM initiative at the 2020 SciTech Festival at the Buckeye Air Fair.
Over 500 visitors and over 60 amazing STEM booths were in attendance, viewing numerous display booths, rotary and fixed wing aircraft parked on the ramp and live air show.
The VFS STEM booth was constantly busy from event opening until its closing. While the children enjoyed playing and learning from the STEM twirly helicopters & gyroscopic chair. Both students and parents asked several questions regarding vertical flight. Many were interested in the burgeoning drone market.
